The exhibition travels intact and the wine does not. Every stop pours from the region beside it, so the same eight works sit next to a different four wines in each city.
Hunter Valley — Two and a half hours north, and the oldest wine region in the country.
Yarra Valley — An hour east, and the coldest good pinot country on the mainland.
Granite Belt — Three hours south-west and nine hundred metres up, which is why it works.
McLaren Vale & the Hills — Forty minutes in either direction. Nowhere else in the country is that lucky.
Margaret River — Three hours south, between two oceans, and worth the drive on its own.
Tamar Valley — An hour north, and the reason the rest of the country is nervous.
Canberra District — Thirty minutes north around Murrumbateman, at six hundred metres.
